DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today that Sgt. Gregory A. Belanger, 24, of Narragansett, R.I., was killed on August 27 in Al Hallia, Iraq.  Belanger was in a vehicle when an improvised explosive device struck his vehicle.  Belanger died of his injuries.

 

Belanger was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Service Company, 325th Military Intelligence Battalion, U.S. Army Reserves, based at Ayer, Mass.

 

This incident is under investigation.
