Battaglia Begins Jacksonville Trip to Strengthen Partnerships

WASHINGTON, May 1, 2015 – Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan B. Battaglia, senior enlisted advisor to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, today began a six-day trip to Jacksonville, Florida, focusing on Defense Department partnerships with the PGA Tour and nonprofit organizations committed to national military outreach.

Last month, as part of the DoD-PGA Tour partnership, Battaglia appeared on the Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” show, where he discussed the importance of military outreach initiatives such as “Birdies for the Brave.”

In addition to participating in multiple military appreciation events, Battaglia will visit with service members based in the area, tour training facilities and host a town hall meeting.
