Dolphin Rescue
Photo, caption below.
One of the four dolphins brought to Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, Miss., Sept. 17, 2005, plays with a basketball in a 22,000 gallon above-ground pool provided by U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program personnel from San Diego, Calif. The dolphins were found in Gulfport Harbor less than two weeks after Hurricane Katrina destroyed their home, Marine Life Oceanarium at Gulfport. A total of eight dolphins are expected to be housed and cared for at NCBC until a new home is found for them. U.S. Navy photo by Petty Officer 3rd Class Chris Gethings
